Introduction
The Directors believe that Tasman has a well balanced portfolio of gold exploration projects ranging from those with JORC compliant
resources through to grass roots projects with significant discovery potential.
Tasman has a current estimated resource base of 1,677,000 oz gold as follows:
- 134,000 oz gold (JORC compliant) at the Challenger project in New South Wales;
- 543,000 oz gold (pre-JORC calculation) at the Mount Adrah project in New South Wales, including 239,000 oz gold which are JORC compliant;
- 500,000 oz gold (non-JORC estimate) at the Miclere project in Queensland;
- 500,000 oz gold (non-JORC estimate) at the Otago project in New Zealand.
The projects have a convenient geographical spread in a largely uniform time zone, and are located in known gold provinces in
Eastern Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.
Tasman's main focus on those projects with known resources will be to increase the resource base, up-grade the resource classification
to at least indicated level and to examine the economic viability of taking those resources to production. At the earlier stage projects,
aggressive exploration will be carried out to make new gold discoveries and expand the resource base where mineralisation is known.
